Fall is in the air and that means our skin is getting drier by the minute. It's time to add a little something extra to your beauty regime without the hassle of spending money on overly expensive products. At home, do-it-yourself au natural remedies are a perfect solution. It turns out that herbs, spices and food can do more than create a tasty dish!

So, this week we are bringing in the scents (and feeling) of fall with this seasonal Pumpkin Spice Sugar Body Scrub.

Established-California-Pumpkin-Spice-Body-Scrub-DIY

 Here’s what you’ll need:

Established-California-Pumpkin-Spice-Body-Scrub-Ingredients

Benefits

Almond Oil: Almond oil is rich in Vitamin A, B and E which are great for skin health.  It improves complexion and skin's retaining glow by adding extra moisture.  It even relieves irritation and inflammation of the skin!

Brown Sugar: It's particles are soft and small making it a safe exfoliator that won’t tear the skin.

Sugar in the Raw: These grains are large yet gentle enough to rub off the extra dead skin on your body which is needed to bring out your healthy glow.

Pumpkin Pie Spice, Ground Cinnamon and Nutmeg: These three powerhouses work great together. Not only do they bring the yummy smell of fall to your scrub, but they also have anti-inflammatory properties and help diminish the appearance of scars and marks.

Let’s get started…

This is pretty much a dump and pour recipe, so you can’t really go wrong!

1.    Grab a medium mixing bowl

2.    Toss in the required amounts of the dry ingredients (everything but the Almond Oil)

3.    Stir together with spoon

4.    Begin to pour the Almond Oil in gently while continuing to mix with the other hand

5.    Depending on your desired consistency, add more oil as needed to make a moist mixture

6.    Time for the fun part! Scoop your scrub into your favorite resealable jar

Remember to pamper yourself often as your skin and the weather battle the season out. This scrub is bound to leave you smelling delicious and will continue to give you glowing skin like the summer’s kiss never left.

HOW TO TIE A HEAD SCARF: 3 WAYS!

Joelle from Le Petite Noob is sharing her favorite ways to wear a headscarf. Scarves are the perfect addition to any outfit while we transition from summer to fall; the weather is cooling down, we are starting to add layers to our outfits so the addition of a silk scarf tied to your hair can turn even a basic jeans and t-shirt into something special. So, which one is your favorite?

A LIFESTYLE BEAUTY-MEETS-FASHION TUTORIAL FOR ANYONE

Contributed by Joelle Anello

Joelle from Le Petite Noob is sharing her favorite ways to wear a headscarf. Scarves are the perfect addition to any outfit while we transition from summer to fall; the weather is cooling down, we are starting to add layers to our outfits so the addition of a silk scarf tied to your hair can turn even a basic jeans and t-shirt into something special. So, we have to know.. which one is YOUR favorite?

Established-California-how-to-tie-a-scarf-diy

1. The Slim Turban

The first style is probably my most used, and a great way to add a touch of bohemian vibe to your look. Start by folding your silk scarf down the middle horizontally, reducing the scarf to half of its size. Place the scarf at the back of your head and bring each side forward towards your face, making sure that both sides are equal. Join each side in front of your head and in the middle of your forehead, twist the scarf around itself twice, then bring both ends to the back of your head again and make a knot to secure everything in place. Tuck in any loose ends from the knot back into the head wrap and the back of your head, and adjust the clim turban to your liking -- i like to pull at either side to make my turban larger and also take this opportunity to tick in any loose hair at the top of my head. The result is a fun and casual bohemian slim turban, perfect for a music festival or a lazy fall day.

Established-California-how-to-tie-a-scarf-diy-accessories

2. Bohemian Head Wrap

The second method of scarf tying is one that I use when I'm looking for more of an exotic look. Start by opening the scarf up fully, placing one edge along your forehead and bringing the other edge to the back of your head, covering your head fully. Grab both ends with each hand and make a knot at the back of your head -- again making sure that each end is even. Grab that knot and move it to the side of your head and make a large bow. I like to actually let out one end of the bow, the side closest to my face, to give the head wrap an even more relaxed look. Adjust and enjoy!

Established-California-how-to-tie-a-silk-scarf-headband

3. Silk Scarf Headband

The third and final method of tying your silk scarf is a headband that I tend to use on those hot, humid days when your hair just isn't co-operating. I find that this style works best with your head up, so I've thrown my hair into a messy bun. Take your scarf and fold it horizontally twice, giving you a slim band to work with. Place the middle of the scarf right above your forehead, and bring both ends down towards the nape of your neck. Once you reach the bottom of your head with both ends, switch the ends in your hands and bring both ends of the scarf upwards again to the top of your forehead. Move both ends slightly on centre, tie a secure knot and then tie a bow. You will need to adjust the bow slightly so that the ends of the scarf are both sticking downwards, and I also like spread open the scarf a bit on either side of the head to give it a thicker appearance. Quick, easy and a great solution for keeping your hair out of your face  on a hot day while adding some detail to your outfit.

Check it:

NONILove Bath and Body Coconut Scrub: This luxurious coconut scrub gently exfoliates your skin after you have had a long day at the beach and in the sun.  You want your skin to be soft and glowing, not leathery and dull.  This scrub brightens your skin with that summer glow.  True story, I got my mom this for Mother's Day and she raved about how smooth and good her skin felt.  Exfoliating evens out your skin tone, fights signs of aging, helps with breakouts, reduces the appearance of stretch marks, etc. This is a summer must have!

Paradise Bath Salts:  I love to take a hot bath with epson salts and a little lavender oil after a long day of being on my feet.  These paradise bath salts allow you to escape to the islands while you soak your body in the luxurious scents of coconut, guava, and citrus.  The salts pull out toxins, leaving you relaxed and cleansed.  This might be more of a winter ritural since it's getting hot, but I'm down for a spa bath any time of year :)

SPF 15 Shea butter Lip balm:  Hydrate and protect your lips with this all natural lip balm.  You guys know how I feel about protecting your lips, so you kinda get a win win with this yummy chapstick.  It smells SO  good guys!

Unite Eurotherapy Travel 7 Second leave in conditioner:  This cute little travel size conditioner is perfect to spritz in your hair after swimming in the salt water, which can be very drying to your locks.  Throw this in your beach bag and you're good to go!  It's the perfect prep for shiny, soft, healthy hair

PERCEPTION & BEAUTY

Makeup can be a powerful tool.

Its application can be the start of a good day by lifting your mood or giving you that added boost of confidence.  It may also be used to alter or enhance ones look for a dressed up night out by only adding to your existing features or creating a dramatic look for photos.

Beauty is about perception not about makeup. I think the beginning of all beauty is knowing and liking oneself. You can’t put on makeup or dress yourself or do your hair with any sort of fun or joy if you are doing it from a position of correction.”  - Kevyn Aucoin, Beauty Expert.

Makeup can be a powerful tool.

Its application can be the start of a good day by lifting your mood or giving you that added boost of confidence.  It may also be used to alter or enhance ones look for a dressed up night out by only adding to your existing features or creating a dramatic look for photos.

Whatever the reason is for wearing make-up, none of this matters if the most important part does not exist. Each of us have an individual pursuit to discovering our beauty. Believing that you are beautiful starts on the inside. We must have a healthy perception of beauty within ourselves…Period.

Curious to find out other California women’s perception on beauty and make-up, I set out to find out just how it plays a role in their value of self-confidence. Here are some of the interesting quotes from my interviews.

IMG_9939.jpg

When do you wear makeup?

"I love the days where my skin is bare, and I embrace those days, just like I do when I wear a full face of makeup. Each day is different and I enjoy the freedom I get when I decide to wear makeup or not. Choice is important."- Rachel Pagan 29 Makeup Artist and Yoga Instructor, North Hollywood, CA.

“Everyday! When you look good, you feel good. In turn in brings out confidence.” - Margret Romero 31, Escrow Agent, Los Angeles, CA.

"I wear makeup for other people, never for myself. Physical youth and attractiveness give performers a huge edge in this city. More often than not, when all else is equal, an opportunity will be given to the more attractive of two candidates." - Linda Y. 30, Magician, Los Angeles

How do you feel when wearing makeup?

“I don’t feel comfortable wearing makeup. I feel vain in attempting to improve the way I look and I don’t feel that people should feel like they need to improve the way they look naturally” - Monica Gellar, 36, Architect, Los Angeles CA

“Makeup is like a bra… You rarely leave the house without one on for that added lift! Makeup kind of does the same thing! Makeup not only makes me feel beautiful, it gives me confidence in knowing I put effort in choosing the way I want to look” - Kelly Marcus, 28, Senior Paralegal, Los Angeles CA.

“If I'm not broken out, I'm comfortable with no makeup. I always feel more attractive and confident with makeup, but at the same time, I feel "untouchable", literally. I don't like that makeup can rub off and get messed up. Skin is just.... there.” - Becca Adams, 27, Fitness Trainer & Actress, Los Angeles CA.

What do you think of women who wear no makeup?

“Jealous! I perceive it as someone who is comfortable in their own skin and owns it. That is admirable.” - Lindsay V. 29, Creative Director at Established California, Los Angeles, CA

"It depends on whether it looks like a choice and they good/healthy, or if it looks like they just don't care. If they look good I admire them. If they look like they don't care, I feel like that's sloppy." - Ester Hillebrand 40, Personal Chef, Venice, CA

“There are times when I get jealous of natural beauties and other times where I am glad to have my makeup skills. I think people who walk around in their own skin must be the most confident people in the world’”- Katie Hillman 20, Makeup Artist, San Diego CA.

Have you ever asked yourself why you wear make up?  I know I wear make up because I love to feel that added level to my natural beauty.

My favorite perspective from the interviews was this from Linda Y. and really sums it up for me “No amount of makeup can ever cover up the natural charisma of a woman with a genuine smile, who is warm and caring and present to all around her”.

After listening to these women, I think it solidifies the fact that makeup is only a tool to be utilized in various ways for every woman from time to time. Understanding that it all starts from within is the most powerful and important piece to take away. Learning to own our natural beauty and being self confidence with it is the biggest gift we can give to ourselves. We deserve nothing less.

Eight Beauty Essentials for Fall

The presence of October is California’s mark for the Fall season. We are automatically programmed to change out our clothing; not only to wear Fall’s coolest trends but also prepare for the cooler months. Just like our seasonal wardrobe overhaul, we should give our beauty routine a revamp.

The presence of October is California’s mark for the Fall season. We are automatically programmed to change out our clothing; not only to wear Fall’s coolest trends but also prepare for the cooler months. Just like our seasonal wardrobe overhaul, we should give our beauty routine a revamp. A few quick updates and product swaps will help your skin, make-up and hair shine even in the crisper days to come. Check out our beauty picks that are worth you shaking up your beauty routine for.

Skincare:

1.     Face Mask: Ultimate hydration is key for fall. The drop in temperatures will leave your skin feeling dry. Facemasks are a nightly must to keep you skin’s appearance radiant, soft and plump. Try Dolce & Gabbana Aurealux Mask for ultimate hydration.

2.     Face Moisturizer: Daily moisturizer is a must (really, for any season). For Fall we must achieve the highest level of hydration without hindering our make-up application. A moisturizer with ingredients such hyaluronic acid and rose water will transform your dry tired skin in a second! Try Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream to help your skin’s surface retain moisture.

3.     Lip Salve: A tin or tub of your favorite moisturizing lip salve is a must. Easy to take on the go, use this product at any onset of dryness. Try cult favorite C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve which offers more moisture that the average lip balm.

Make-up:

4.     Foundation: Your complexion coverage needs change from Summer to Fall. Now that the sun has made you skin a little darker and the crisp air has made it more dry and dull you will need to choose a product that offers more coverage and protection.  Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is a great option for silky, buildable coverage that won’t leave you feeling like your make-up is caked on.

5.     Brown Lipstick: Use the Fall to be fearless and go for a new lipstick shade. Brown colored lipstick is a great option for any skin tone and was a season hit on the runways. Try Tom Ford Lip Color in Negligee.

6.     Navy Eyeliner:  Navy eyeliner is the new Black this Fall. Dark enough to provide ample definition but light enough to compliment every skin tone. Navy is the way to go this season! Navy will give your eyes dimension helping them to look brighter! We suggest NYX Cosmetics Slim Eye Pencil in Sapphire.

Haircare:

7.     Deep Conditioner: Hair strands will lose the most moisture during the Fall season. With the added heat from our styling tools and the crisper weather a hair conditioning treatment is a weekly must. Sachajuan’s Hair Repair is the product to buy.

8_Loreal Mythic Oil.png

8.     Protecting Serum:  Daily styling with heat tools makes prepping and protecting your strands from heat tools is a must. No one wants to sizzle their strands. By adding L’Oreal Professional Mythic Oil Seve Protectrice will prep, prime and protect your hair all in one product!

DIY: 5 MINUTES TO A FLAWLESS FACE

This season’s makeup trends are taking a turn to the nude, it is the ‘No Makeup’ look with a healthy brow. If your skin is not perfect this tutorial will show you how to achieve flawless skin with minimal makeup in 5 minutes.

Image via

This season’s makeup trends are taking a turn to the nude, it is the ‘No Makeup’ look with a healthy brow. If your skin is not perfect this tutorial will show you how to achieve flawless skin with minimal makeup in 5 minutes. I have listed some specific products that I know work well and that my clients love. The rest you may have already or can purchase easily online.

WHAT YOU NEED

Products:

Goe Oil

Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer (2 shades lighter)

Stila Powder foundation (2 Shades lighter)

Stila Powder foundation (your shade)

Bronzer (I use Scott Barnes in ‘Sundance’)

Powder Blush in your lip color

Anastasia Brow powder

Taupe eye shadow

Mascara

Cherry Chap Stick

Tools:

Large Powder Brush

Small Powder Brush

Blush Brush

Bronzer Brush (aka Blush brush)

Small angel brush for brows

Fluffy Crease Brush

Its not Magic. Its Technique. And its fast!

Step 1: Moisturize using Goe Oil. Lotion does nothing for my skin anymore. I am in love with natural oils and Goe Oil gel is my favorite. It penetrates the skin so it leaves you with a supple and dewy not greasy finish.

Step 2: Apply waterproof concealer with fingers under the eyes, down the nose, between the brows, on the cheek bones, brow bones and on the chin.

Why? This will add a pretty highlight and accentuate your features. It does not have to be perfect because it will get blended later.

Step 3: Powder with the lighter powder foundation using the small powder brush in the same areas you highlighted with concealer.

Step 4: Take the powder foundation in your color match and dust it around the rest of your face using the large powder brush. Lightly hit the middle of the forehead, dust across the cheeks and chin. Light handed! We still want the lighter areas to show through.

Step 5: Apply bronzer on the outer part of the forehead (around the hairline), temples, in the hollows of the cheeks and the underside of your chin and jaw.

Why? This adds dimension and carves out bone structure, which makes the face more dynamic.

Step 6: Apply a powder blush that is close to the pinkest part of your lips and lightly dust the cheeks, temples and eyelids.

Your almost ready!

Let it cook for an hour. Or to speed up the process, plank for 60 seconds and finely mist your face with water.

Translation: Makeup looks best after it has settled. The powders will settle in the oil and it will look like flawless skin that actually looks like skin!

Step 7: Next lightly fill in your brows using an angle brush and your brow powder. Accentuate the arch. Apply some taupe shadow in the crease using your crease brush. Using your angle brush apply some taupe powder along the bottom and top lash line.

Step 8: Finish with Mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

Step 9: Apply a lip color of your choosing. For daytime, I am loyal to cherry chap stick. It adds a slight tint and sheen with out overpowering your flawless complexion!

THERE'S A BONUS!!

To up the amp for the Fall season go with darker, bolder lip color. Add more taupe to the crease on your eyelid. This subtle pigment changes are bound to make you feel fabulous for the cooler months to come!

FallLook.jpg

Follow these steps for flawless skin for one week. It is all TECHNIQUE, so it takes practice. Give yourself time to learn a new skill. Stop wishing you could do your makeup and do the homework already! After 5 days you be trained to work your face over in 5 minutes like a pro. Forever.

Why this works? When you apply many light layers of makeup it looks as though you have no makeup on because the person isn’t seeing one flat color of foundation, they are noticing your bone structure instead. You get noticed first, not the makeup.

Now that NYFW has come and gone, we wanted bring some of our favorite looks from the SPRING 15 Runway to your day-to-day life. We teamed up with Makeup Artist, Michelle Hodnett to give us all of her tips and tricks.

Key Product:

Lime Crime Uniliner in White

Established California | Beauty | NYFW Get the Look | Lime Crime Uniliner {White}

Prep:

1. Make sure your skin is moisturized before applying any makeup. This will help to use less product and avoid “cakey” looking skin. For a longer lasting look, apply a primer after moisturizing. Smashbox Photo Finish is always a solid go-to.

Tip: Don’t forget to prep your lips as well! Throw on a good lip balm for a soak while you apply the rest of your makeup. This way when you’re ready for some lipstick, you wont have to deal with dry and cracked lips.

Skin:

2. Apply a foundation with generous coverage and work your way from the middle of the face blending outward. This way you get coverage where it’s necessary without it looking like you’re wearing a mask. Then take your concealer and lightly add where needed.

3. Set your foundation with a translucent setting powder.  Gently apply the bronzer to the underside of your cheekbones in a soft, upward and outward motion.

Eyes:

4. Sweep a champagne eye shadow across your entire lid.

Tip: Doing so pops the eyes and helps to give a more “ethereal look”.

5. Line under your bottom lashes with a white eyeliner pencil. Take LIME CRIME’S Uniliner in White to your upper lid’s lash line to create a winged tip and a more defined line.

6. Use some white eyeshadow an angle brush to soften the edges.

Tip: A slightly imperfect line and less sharp wing softens the look.

Established California | Beauty | NYFW Get the Look | Apply

7. To finish off the eyes, apply a couple layers of your favorite mascara to your top lashes and a light sweep to your bottom lashes.

Lips:

8. Use a cotton candy pink (MAC Snob is perfect) lip color here and set it with a translucent powder for a matte finish.

Tip: Try applying your lip color with a lip brush then soften the edges with the tip of a sponge.

Whether on natural terrain or in the studio, going for high intensity or low intensity training, there is nothing worse than dealing with sweaty tresses that won’t stop falling in your face. You need to streamline those wispy hair ends and maximize your mane for your desired workout activity without the sacrifice of looking chic. It is possible to have a rockin’ hair while you are powering through TRX!

Just like you strategically pick out your trendy Lululemon wear, get creative with your workout hair so it will stay in place and not fall flat. There is no reason why you should always resort to a slicked back ponytail and headband. From styles made for yoga class to beach workouts, we’ve rounded up five do’s that will keep your hair looking fabulous no matter how you choose to burn calories. Grab a hair tie and some pins because you must give these styles a try…

Yoga/Pilates

A low positioned up-do is a must for Yoga or Pilates class. With constant mat work, you need a hairstyle that will not get in the way when on the ground in certain postures. Chic yet practical, this neck-exposed style is worth rocking and perfect for all those moves from the Pilates’ ‘Rollover’ to Yoga’s ‘Shavasana’.

Biking

Long distance biking is a popular workout choice in California.  Since safety is first, and a helmet is needed, you need a hairstyle that will not leave you in a sweaty mess or destroy your ‘do once you get to remove your safety gear. Take the classic low pony up a notch, and try this twisted ponytail. It is not only fashionable but also functional, as it will fit seamlessly under your helmet.  We love this tutorial from Caroline for Cup Of Jo!

Running Trails

A Throwback to many of our childhoods, the tiered ponytail keeps pesky flyaways under control by providing a foolproof polished look. Perfect for the trailblazing runner, this pulled back do will remain tight and in place no matter how windy it gets.

 Beach Bootcamp

Whether you are circuit training from station to station, treading through the sand or swimming yards in the ocean a beach workout can be very taxing on not only your sweat factor but your hair ‘do as well. Choose a badass hairstyle like this braided mohawk that will compliment the workout you are enduring. Far from your typical braided 'do, this style screams edge and when woven tightly will help your hair stay intact during the most extreme physical activity.

Gym Time

With the endless workout options at the gym, your hair ‘do has to be prepared for anything. Moving from the treadmill to the TRX to the bench press the last thing you need to do is halt your burn session and deal with dropping tresses or annoying ponytails hitting your face. A no-nonsense topknot, considered the ponytail’s sexier cousin, is an easy option that keeps your hair in place, out of the way, and off your neck. Choose to keep it sleek, add some volume, or enhance with a braid. No matter how you style your topknot, it’s chic…GUARANTEED!

GET THE LOOK: SUNKISSED SUMMER

Ah, summer is here and it is my favorite time to take a break from my usual heavier make-up and bring on the sun-kissed glow (in a healthy SPF type of way, of course)! This tutorial will teach you how to have the perfect bronzed look to carry you through your summer days.

Ah, summer is here and it is my favorite time to take a break from my usual heavier make-up and bring on the sun-kissed glow (in a healthy SPF type of way, of course)! This tutorial will teach you how to have the perfect bronzed look to carry you through your summer days.

TOOLS:

Lightweight Foundation: I used Mac’s Face and Body Foundation. It’s a sheer buildable product that blends easily and evenly. As a water based foundation, it is lightweight and leaves your skin with a supple glowing finish!

Foundation Brush: I am a fan of Shiseido Makeup Perfect Foundation Brush. The versatility in this brush can be used to apply any type of foundation.

Your Favorite Bronzer: I constantly play with bronzers. Today I used Toofaced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer. The duo of colors allows me to play with dimension and highlighting.

Bronzer Brush: Try this Bobby Brown Bronzer Brush

Eye Shadow: Choose a light golden brown. Urban Decay’s ‘Smog’ in the original Naked Palette is a great option.

Eye Shadow Brush: You will need a brush that can hold pigment but also dust color lightly and evenly. Mac’s 224 brush is by far my favorite choice!

Your Best Mascara: I am hot to trot on Mally Volumizing Mascara right now!

Lipgloss: A light pink flat lip gloss adds the perfect finishing touch. I used Stila Lip Glaze in Grapefruit.

Established California | Beauty | Sunkissed Summer

STEPS:

1. Start with a fresh face. Applying an SPF moisturizer after your daily skin routine is the perfect start.

2. Using the foundation brush apply and blend your lightweight foundation starting from the center of your cheek blending in circular motions outward.

3. Using the Mac 224 brush, sweep the golden brown shadow over your lid and crease.

4. Apply a couple of coats of mascara to your top and bottom lashes.

5. Brush your chosen lip gloss onto your lips.

6. Using a bronzer brush, apply bronzer to you’re the apples of your cheek.

After seeing all the floral headpieces and bohemian looks during  the Festival Season this year, we were inspired to brighten up our style – and what better way than to use flowers. This Floral ‘Do Tutorial is perfect when you are feeling a little Boho yourself.

Needed Items:
1 Small Rubber band
1 Bunch of Chamomile Flowers
Bumble and Bumble Dry Spun Finish

1. Part hair to the side. One the thicker hair side begin by grabbing a section as you see in photo two.
2. Split the selected section of hair into 3 even pieces.
3. Begin the braid by crossing the right piece over the center piece and let it drop. Cross the left piece over the center. Now pick up a brand new section from the right and repeat crossing over the center piece and dropping. Cross the left piece over the center. [There is a great video tutorial here]
4. Continue the waterfall braid around the head to a desired stopping point.
5. Finish off the end by not grabbing additional sections of hair and continue with a regular braid. Tie with a rubber band when complete.
6. Place fresh cut Chamomile Flowers into the top of braid continuing around head and into the lower braid.
7. Voila! Spray some Bumble and Bumble Dry Spun Finish and your floral do is ready to go!

VACAY NAILS: TIPS TO MAKE IT LAST

Finally! Your summer vacation is here! You spent all week running your last minute errands: trips to the mall, finding that perfect bikini, gettting your bags packed – and now you are ready to hit the road!

Image via Diamond Nails

Finally! Your summer vacation is here! You spent all week running your last minute errands: trips to the mall, finding that perfect bikini, gettting your bags packed – and now you are ready to hit the road! Your tan is flawless, your legs are silky smooth and your mani/pedi is on point. Your confidence is up and the only thing that could ruin this lasting feeling is nothing other than a dreadful polish chip. Let’s face it ladies, there is nothing cute or fashionable about chipped nail polish.

We wanted to take some time today to give you some tips and tricks that will help extend your manicure and pedicure through all that walking in the sand and kicking of waves.

SCRUB, SCRUB, SCRUB: Oil, dust, dirt will all hinder the polish to adhere property to the nail bed. Use a nail brush with a gentle soap to scrub away any hiding dirt or oil on your nail bed to give polish the best fighting chance.

DEYHDRATE: Your nail must be fully dry before you paint on that color. Swipe on an acetone based nail cleaner.

BASE COAT: Use a sticky base coat prior to painting on your color. This will not only help the polish to adhere but also will smooth out any small ridges your nail plate naturally has. This is going to offer your manicure the staying power you need!

LIGHT STROKES: Try and cover your nail in 3 strokes. The thicker the nail polish the easier it will be to catch and chip off.

LOCK IT UP: Make sure to paint the free edge with both your polish and top coat.

OIL TIME: You have to keep your nails hydrated. Cuticle oil is the best way to give your nails a much needed drink. Adding oil onto your nails as part of your grooming routine is a must do!

VACAY TIME: Now go out and enjoy some vacay fun with your chip free nails! You have earned it!
