When was the moment that you fell in love with cycling?
I actually remember this moment very clearly. I was recovering from a broken foot and craving some cardio. I had been to cycling classes before but never really fell in love before this specific class. I remember leaving the class with the same high that I would get when I would run. I had never experienced anything that even came close to the feeling I got from running. After that I was hooked and prior to teaching I would sometimes take several classes a day.
What keeps you inspired?
Music, My clients, and Instagram. I follow a lot of fitness and cycling accounts on Instagram and seeing someone else’s progress really motivates me to work harder and keep pushing forward.
What do you do when you aren’t teaching?
When I am not teaching I love hanging out with my dog Ari, doing girly things like manicures that I never make time for, running outside, or doing a WHOLE lot of laundry. I am constantly running out of clean clothes to teach, run or work out in.
What’s your favorite way to release some steam?
A good 10+ mile run usually does the trick.
Healthiest daily habit?
Brushing and flossing.
What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
I would tell myself to not cut class and do my homework. Simple advice that would have made a huge difference when I was 16.
What’s on your current workout playlist?
Lots of Mashups. Some pitbull, some kanye west, and of course some Britney. A workout mix is not complete without Britney.
Favorite fitness wear?
Lululemon, Wunder Unders and an American Apparel tank.
What’s your favorite part about living in California?
Life is always exciting here and I am one of the few natives that i know :)
